Windhoek - The first tournament in Speed Badminton will take place in Swakopmund on 3 November 2012. The tournament targets beginners as well as pros. It will be part of the HOPE2012 fundraising event. 100% of all entry fees will go to the Walfish-bay Kids Haven children’s home. more

Windhoek – The young sport Speed Badminton experienced the third European Championships in Croatia last weekend. As the sport is becoming more and more prominent in Namibia, it is within our grasp to have Namibians compete at the next Speed Badminton World Championships. The first club is to open in Windhoek this year. more

Speed Badminton in Namibia gestartet

Windhoek – Zuerst dröhnte eine E-Gitarre, dann Vivaldis „Vier Jahreszeiten“ und schließlich erfüllte ein kräftiges Shosholoza die Gänge der Maerua Mall. Von allen Seiten kamen Menschen mit Rackets zu einem Luftgitarrenkonzert zusammen. Was spontan aussah, war eine geplante PR-Aktion: Mit einem „Flashmob“ haben rund 50 Sportbegeisterte am Samstag den Startschuss gegeben, um die Trendsportart Speed Badminton in Namibia bekannt zu machen. more
