Trend sport Speed Badminton now also available in Namibia and South Africa
Windhoek - Speed Badminton, the fastest racket sport in the world can now be played in Namibia and South Africa. Fitting to the motto „anywhere, anytime“, Speedminton Namibia is starting with a surprise event for sport- and music lovers in Windhoek on the 10th of December. Special Guest will be the Band Famaz Attack.

“The allure of Speed Badminton is created by the incredible speed of the sport. In spirit of this, we will start with a flashmob“, states Björn Magg, organizer of this event. A flashmob is referred to as a short, seemingly spontaneous crowd get-together, in a public place, at which the participants do unusual activities. Flashmobs are a form of performance art and are organized for different reasons. The Flashmob in Windhoek will be held on the 10th of December at exactly 11:00 at the Maerua Mall shopping centre. more

Speed Badminton in Namibia gestartet

Windhoek – Zuerst dröhnte eine E-Gitarre, dann Vivaldis „Vier Jahreszeiten“ und schließlich erfüllte ein kräftiges Shosholoza die Gänge der Maerua Mall. Von allen Seiten kamen Menschen mit Rackets zu einem Luftgitarrenkonzert zusammen. Was spontan aussah, war eine geplante PR-Aktion: Mit einem „Flashmob“ haben rund 50 Sportbegeisterte am Samstag den Startschuss gegeben, um die Trendsportart Speed Badminton in Namibia bekannt zu machen. Initiatoren der Aktion sind der Namibier Björn Magg und Delia Thesenvitz aus München. In Deutschland hatte Magg das schnelle Rückschlagspiel getestet, bereits vor zehn Jahren wurde Speedminton in Berlin entwickelt. Magg dachte sich: „Das ist die Sportart für Namibia, denn man braucht nur viel Platz.“ So passt auch das Motto der Trendsportat: „Anytime, anywhere.“ Magg fügt hinzu: „Anybody.“ more

Trendsportart Speedminton
Windhoek - Es ist das schnellste Rückschlagspiel der Welt: Speedminton. Eine Gruppe von begeisterten Trendsportlern will diese rasante Version von Badminton, die Federbälle erreichen eine Geschwindigkeit von bis zu 290 km/h, nun auch in Namibia etablieren. „Speedminton fordert die Reaktionsfähigkeit und ist optimal, um sich fit und gesund zu halten“, so der Speedminton-Spieler Björn Magg. more
